Addicted…to TV

Boots, vintage; trousers, Forever 21; blouse, Suzy Shier, gift from Mom; belt, Liz Claiborne, thrifted; earrings, Ardene, gift from Mom; bracelet, Forever 21, gift from Mom; necklace, vintage.

These boots were my Grammie’s, but they look like they were never worn. The only thing I had to do to them was get the heel nubs repaired!

So, who is watching American Idol right now? I had a hard time deciding what to watch at 8 tonight, but went with Idol so I could talk about it at work tomorrow. I don’t want to be left out of a pop culture conversation! Oh, the naïveté! The reason I couldn’t decide what to watch tonight is because I am addicted to TV and have 20 shows on the go right now. I’m opening myself up for scathing disapproval, but here is my lineup:

Monday: 2 Broke Girls, Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie, How I Met Your Mother, Pretty Little Liars

Tuesday: Jane By Design, New Girl, Parenthood

Wednesday: American Idol, Modern Family, Happy Endings, Hot in Cleveland, Whitney, Bomb Girls (mini-series)

Thursday: American Idol, Private Practice, Vampire Diaries, Up All Night

Friday: Nothing!

Saturday: Nothing!

Sunday: Pan Am, Shameless, Californication

Next month, The Amazing Race starts again, and in March, Dancing With the Stars comes back for another kick at the Mirrorball Trophy. Don’t even bother trying to make plans with me – I’m busy killing my brain cells.

Your name is Carla and you are definitely addicted to tv!

  2. Mom Says:

The “cocktail boots” are living a new life!

  3. De Facto Redhead Says:

I always wonder how Grammie styled these boots. I can’t imagine her ever wearing them!

I watch 6 out of your 20 shows ;) - HIMYM, New Girl, Parenthood, Private Practice, Up All Night and I JUST got into Modern Family (so I am making my way through season by season… almost done season 1).

My other regular rotation shows: Grey’s Anatomy (although I think I am just hanging on hope that it will get good again), The Walking Dead (LOVE LOVE LOVE it), The Bachelor (ya, I know, I know), and Jersey Shore (again… *hangs head in shame*).

I was watching Pan Am, but it got too hard to keep up (I stopped about 4 episodes in), Sundays aren’t good tv days for me and then I have a packed week of tv watching already haha. I think I will pick it back up in the summer though, during reruns of everything.

I can’t do American Idol anymore. The new judges drive me crazy. I miss Simon. Whoa this was a loooong comment haha, guess I am addicted to tv too :s.

I gave up on Grey’s Anatomy at the beginning of last season. I was at the point you are now. A trilling “boring” resounds. I have been considering The Walking Dead after hearing you rave about it…maybe that will be my summer show (among others. Haha!). And please, I do not judge fellow lovers of reality TV.

    P.S. I also miss Simon.

  6. Gary Says:

Jesus Christ Carla, that’s a lot of TV. I can think of a lot better things to do. I challenge you to not watch TV for one week. Let’s make a bet. Do you dare?

  7. Joanne Says:

I don’t know whether to be proud or ashamed….. but the only show on your list that I watch is DWTS! (Although I have caught the odd episode of Modern Family….. and it was most enjoyable….)

Sadly, most of my TV-watching time these days is spent viewing Treehouse and PBS, haha. That Elmo sure is cute….

  8. Joanne Says:

PS – LOVE your outfit in these pics! You should wear green tops more often….

  9. Joanne Says:

PPS – I had to come back because something just dawned on me……. Why are you not watching The Office on Thursday nights anymore??

  10. Ashley Says:

Um Carla, you forgot to add “Walking Dead” to next months list, it starts on Feb 12th!
& I thought my lineup was bad! mondays- pretty little liars, gossip girl, how i met your mother…. wednesday- american idol…. thursday- american idol, vampire diaries, jersey shore, the secret circle…. fridays-grimm … Good thing i have a pvr or i’d never keep up with them all, i hope you have one to help you keep up your 20 shows a week lol!

Gary, your proposition scares me. Haha!

Joanne, educational lessons and life tutorials abound on channels such as Treehouse and PBS! And as for The Office, something strange happened here, and we kind of fell off the wagon! Sadly, I have no other explanation.

Ashley, the hype of Walking Dead is assaulting me from all angles, so it just might have to be added into the rotation. I’m also interested in Grimm. NOOOOOO! Haha! And are you kidding?! Of course I have a PVR! Ha!

And just so everyone knows, I am now trying to incorporate all the Oscar-nominated movies into my viewing schedule. When will I sleep?!
